I know Mary was really disappointed to hear that Jeff Martin left the Tea Party in 2005, but I was personally elated. I really got the impression that it was the other band folks who were pushing the group in the sound direction they were heading... and I didn't like it. Anyway, I was just looking in on Jeff, and I see that he has a new album coming out on April 11, called the Exile and the Kingdom. He is recording in Ireland. Pictures on the site promise hand drumming, mandolin, and other exciting yummyness. The words 'Toronto tabla ensemble' were seen. I am excited. Also, it would be a real nice 'Congrats on finishing your thesis, Lannie!' present, I'm just sayin' ;) I am also wondering if anyone has heard the single, called "The World is calling"? I am curious as to whether or not my excitement is at all justified.
