I am skeptical of any claims that people cannot count to at least ten, unless they are missing fingers.

I stand by my statement, and I have the exams to back me up.

They had to do 8/10 ids. I even told them to count, and double check that they'd done. But no. Some did 6, or seve. one did 9. Now *most* of them did 8, and in some cases it is clear that they just didn't know the answers to more than four or five, and didn't bother, but.... for some there are really no excuses! 8! Eight! VIII! It isn't hard!

Maybe in whatever language they speak, their number system only goes up to seven. Did you think of that? Did you? And who are you to judge them if it doesn't? ;P

Most of them seem to be capable of expressing themselves in at least substandard English, escape goats nonwithstanding ;p
