I am kinda tired, I suppose, and then I can call Dina early in the am and arrange hammy return! Yay Scallywag! She's only had him almost an extra week at this point >_<
Game was fun.I love being Devious, but I do wish there was more roleplaying inside the group. Ahh well. I will just make up fun stories inside my head about Sol's past. Maybe someday I will wqrote them down. I think he is the kind of character that other people could also be amused by. Well, maybe. We'll see. In any case, tonight, I got to roleplay selling illicit stolen materials and magic items of questionable alignment use to a Gnomish Gnecromancer, and weild my mighty diplomacy score in an awesome attempt to make us more money. I also bought a bunch fo magic items with my share of the loot, including an amulet of natural armour +2, gloves of dexterity +2, and a vest of resistance +2. So I increased my AC by 3, my saves by 2 (3 for reflex), and a bunch of my skills. I'm also close to the next level. Next session, we kidnap an orc! And learn more about the big evil book we stole from the Drow. I mean recovered. hem. anyway.
In a contination of my geek burbling, I have realized that I still need 17 ranks on skills to get the prestige class I want, and three more levels of sorcerer. So I need one more level of rogue for certain, which will net me 11 of those necessary skill points. But when I go socerer, I still get 6 skill points. Since I need three more levels to be able to cast 3rd level spells anyway, that will be a total of 18 skill points. In theory, I could put those toward getting the rest of the skills I need by buying them cross-class, but that would take 12 skill points. Is that worth it? I just don't know... An extra level of rogue would give me more sneak attack... So basically it comes down to: are the skill points really worth it? The other issue is multiclassing penalties. I'm not even sure that there *is* a good strategy for dealing with that, though.
The next question is, of course, what order should I take them in? I need three more levels of sorceor and at *least* one more level of rogue. I'm evenly balanced right now. Level 4 rogue gives me +1 base attack, +1 reflex save, and Uncanny Dodge. Level 4 sorcerer gives me +1 base attack bonus, +1 will save, and second level spells. If I go rogue next level, I don't have to decide yet what to do about my skill points... although I do get a 'free' level with my sorc points if I do decide to go the 'buying things cross-class' route. Oh, this is just the kind of decisions that I am bad at. Eventually I will just make a snap decisions and realize three sessions later that there was a cleverer way of going at it. boo! This wouldn't be an issue if I had been paying attention earlier, alas I have barely put any ranks into the skills required for the prestige class I am aiming for. Of course, bah.
I think the spells I will pick up for my next sorc. level, whenever I take it, will be Cat's Grace, and Knock. Knock only has a verbal component, how conveeeenient ^-^ I know that the next feats I get will be combat expertise and then Improved feint >:D

If you're not allowed to do that, I donno. Seems cheap, but effective. ;)
