Woke/got up around 10. Did 2 hours or so of internet stuff including reading webcomics and chapter 13 (I'm keeping count, at least) of the story that![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
vess is writing in his journal. Anyone who is interested should be able to find it in my memories. I recommend, and I'm not biased at all, honest ;). I also did e-mailing for Chains (Vampire PBEM/LARP game). And sundry other bits.
Conspired with Mary about the mall later. Worked on dissertation stuff (I'm not actually writing, I'm making lists of pirate flags and such at the moment).
Then around 3 (I think), M&I appeared, and we went to the mall. The purpose in this was to pick up some things that Mary and I need for the dig this summer, and see if we could find a copy of Warcraft III for Ian.
Things I got, in order of expense:
Sunglases (20 pounds... reasonable)
Sunscreen, SPF60. (12 pounds. INSANE, even if it was buy one get one free...)
Mach 3 razor and pack of 5 new blades (5.25 pounds. Sane/reasonable only because when you bought the blades, you got a free razor which also comes with two new blades)
Flashlight (4.99. Okay, but there was another one I saw after I'd bought this one that I'd have prefered. Oh well. And they call 'em torches here, for the record, even though there is no fire...)
Exacto-knife (3.99. Reasonable. And sharp, whee! I used it to open the flashlight package ;)
Neutrogena shampoo (2.99. Reasonable)
Neutrogena Conditioner (reasonable... though I am spoiled from buy 2-in-one...)
8 cookies (2.99. Yum!)
All-purpose glue (1.35. Reasonable. *sniff* ;)
Knee pads and gardening gloves (1 pound each. Yay for Poundland!)
Blue nylon string/twine (60 p. huzzah. Blue string.)
3 rolls sparkly tape (49 p. oooh, shiny....)
That's it. Oh, wait, I bought supper (2 spinach and cheese pies (so I can pretent they are healthy ;), and a pepsi), and a coke at the theatre.
Went to see Minority report, which Kicks Ass.
Now, I'm home and waiting for EiS to start, miao...
And get my stuff ready for tomorrow. I must remember a sweater this time! And dance stuff... should be a good weekend :o I wish I could see the whole wedding, but I'll take what I can get, I guess... And then I get to come home and play Pebbley Shores! I hope I can stay coherent enough for it :o
