My skin seems ot be slow on the uptake. My tan from this summer has not yet completely faded. I still have visible tan lines on my feet, for instance, and my legs are still relatively dark. My skin also tends to retain discolouration from things like bruises far longer than it should. I can still see the remnants of a bruise I had this summer on my thigh, for instance (I believe I either trip on or ran into a taut line, perhaps? It was Niagara related, in any case). I know when I was younger I used to tan quite quixckly and quite dark. My legs now tan much slower than the rest of me,, and I suspect that it is related. they get much less exposure to the sun generally, and when they start to get more, it takes them longer to react to it. My arms will start darkening quite quickly, but I hardly need to wear sunscreen on my legs in the brightest, hottest sun to prevent them from tanning or burning, for weeks and weeks. The fact that I tend to anyway only slows the process further. Now I wonder how long it will take for this residual tan to fade, and if this means my legs will react more quickly next year.
Of course, I'm noticing this because I just got out of a bath (I'm still trying to kick this cold. Antibiotics and steroids are working medium). Now I guess I'll try again to finish that character history. Not much time for anything else today afterall...
I miss my hammy :(
