I am home. It is much warmer here than in TO. Much much. I also had much much mail waiting for me: my mailbox was stuffed. I got some business and junk mail (bank statements, bills, coupons), some Christmas cards, a Thankyou note, and some packages: another lovely mug from the Laycok-Nightengale family, with a moose keychain :D, and girlguide cookies from C, because *she* is awesome. Thanks everyone who sent me stuff! Stuff certainly makes coming back to greenville earlier. It is like the wolrd is saying "Buckup sweetcheeks, there's love 'ere too!". You have to imagine that's said by a manly British man - I've been reading Flashman again. Ironically, all the love actually came from other people who are far away (save the TY note from Tsiankiio and Justnukeit), but I'll try not to dwell on that so much.
Tomorrow I have to go and pay the rest of my Tuition. It seems I miscalculated slightly. I actually owe them 102$ and some change.... of course, 90 of that is for health fees, since I had my lady inspection before I left and had to put it on my account. Still, I was off by ten dollars: I'm paying them 13, not 3, for my tuition this term. Times are tough, I tell you. Actually, I'd been told before I left that it would be more like 300, and I'd budgeted for that, so this will mean I can breathe a little easier between now and the time I go to Sacramento (the 11th to the 14th, for the record).
Right now, I'm just sort of unwindingfrom the flight. I was kind of stressed and annoyed when I got to the airport, for one because my dad gave me a pillow for Christmas, and it wouldn't ftit in my luggage, so it became extra carryon I had to lug all over various airports. Also, Fishy got lost on the way there. He is a clever lad though, and had budgeted lots of time *and* stopped and asked for directions of his own volition once he realized that he was actually lost, so I wasn't late at all, but my nerves were already frayed and I may have been unnecessarily terse at my final farewell. I'm sorry Fishy Fish. You know I love you, baby. I just didn't want to go already and little things were making it more annoyoing.
On the plus side, I didn't loose any luggage coming *or* going this trip! It's a miracle!
I am silly, though, and I forgot where I packed my camera. That is, I thought I'd forgotten it completely, but later found that I'd tucked it away in one of my skates. And yes, we did go skating, and I have the bruised knees to prove it. Comments about other sources of bruised knees can be checked at the door, thanks. I also have a bruised elbow and a bruised wrist :p I am not the best skater in the world, but I still love it. Anyway, the point was that *I* didn't get any pic of the Popomalises, because they were gone by that point, although they gave me a cite picture of Arthur and Aunt Lannie :) I hope their trip is going well!
I had a really really good time, didn't get as much schoolwork done as I would have like, but am still confident that I can get my stuff all done for May. I wish that I had more better friends in Greenville, but I am glad of the ones I do. My canadian friends spoil me with the awesomeness, and Sheffield folk really set a standard of friendliness and welcoming that no other new city has yet to match. I'm spoiled for friends. I really am. And in two more years it is possible that I will have a whole set of mugs with Sheffield city scenes on them ^-^
Okay, I think I'm done. I also think that I will go try out the bathbombs that Hazel got me for Christmas. Yay for smellies :D I will save Ipod set up for later because it vexes me. I think I got it set up at fishies, but then the battery died, grrrr....
Oh, and just one more thing, I swear! Rob, I forgot to give you back your key. I will mail it.
Oh, and I think I have Bronchitis ¬_¬
