*Notices the time*

In less than an hour, it will be July 1. That's Canada Day, for al you foreign or unpatriotic (or just oblivious) types. But can Canada day really start here when it won't be Canada day back home for at least three and a half hours (Thanks to the oddball Newfies)?

Hmm... That could be too much sun speaking. But if no one is around to play with before my thingy times out, I'm going to bed.

Happy Canada Day! Are you celebrating? What does one do on Canada Day? What exactly are you celebrating? I thought about getting some fireworks for the Fourth, but I didn't think the English would be too happy about us celebrating kicking their butts.

Canada Day is celebrating (I think) the Confederation, which happened in 1867. Not all the provinces joined right away though... I think it was initially New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario and Quebec. Newfoundland didn't actually join until 1949. Which is possibly why there are so many Newfie jokes, and why Newfies are generally so bizzare ^-^

I'm celebration by sleeping in, eating white bread slathered with peanut butter and honey, then some junk I picked up at safeway (cupcakes and the like), and a stir fry later. So basically, I'm celebrating with food. :D
