Okay. I am done with Landscape for now. No more actual classes. Friday, we go to Washington and look at stuff, and I have another short paper due Monday (and another on the 12th). Tomorrow, I'll be done with France - I just have to finish my paper tonight. I have it started. I might need a nap first though, as I am feeling really drained. I'm not sure if it is just the lenght of the landscape class, the fact that I was reading without my glasses earlier, the weather, the (warm) temperature inside, or what, but I'm feeling *really* wiped. Maybe I just need dinner? We'll see.
I got presents (outgoing ones) in the mail today, yay! :) Maybe I'll have all the elements I need to put together my F'ton package by the end of the week. At least my F'ton girls present, anyway. Really, they probably won't get sent until next week.
I got a bunch of books out of the library today when I went to pick up an ILL book that came in for me. I may just wind up doing nothing but reading over Xmas break, we'll see. The ILL book I got is a dissertation on the development of pirate counterculture that was quoted a lot in the "Pottery as Plunder" paper. It looks promising, but long, and that's what I was reading sans-glasses earlier. Ugh.
Anyway, the 'scare' I am talking about is that I got an e-ail back from Joe Flatman at UCL saying that I need to include more explicit methodology stuff in my proposal. He thinks it is good, it just needs work, and is willing to work with me on it. So that's good... I basically know the answers to his questions, but still... Eeek! I think part of the problem is that I'm not sure how explicit he wants it to be, and also, how explicit I *can* be without knowing what site or sites I could look at.
I still need to send money to Texas, I think, and my transcripts. I need to get an envelope to send them in though. Maybe if I need a break later I'll head out to the dollar store. We'll see. First, nap, dishes, and dinner. Then: France. I'll e-mail Dr. Flatman in the morning :)
It looks like you will never stop hearing me talk about grad school applictaions, afterall! I can only promise that I had good intentions. But soon you'll not have to hear anything else about France ^-^
