elanya at 04:28pm on 25/06/2002So I went to the store todqay, and couldn't find what I was looking for. The ladies there showed me some thigs that weren't the right kind of thread... and nothing that was, of course. Bugger. I really need to get those finished!
I did get to NATCET today. What a tiny library! It is very quaint, and the people there are nice. Too bad I couldn't take out the books... there is one there, a 1972 edition of A General History of the Pyrates edited by Manuel Schonhorn that I'd really like a little time alone with. ^-^ I copied out about two pages of notes from another couple of books, and photocopies 16 pages of Schonhorn's introductory notes on the life of Daniel DeFoe and why he thinks that DeFoe is the real author, and other things besides. I also ordered a sleeping bag, which I will pick up tomorrow. It is a mummy sleeping bag... the design of it, that it, not that it has hot pictues of Oded Fehr on it. I wish! Miao... I still want a kitten :(
Also... I realized, once again, how short my dissertation will be. Only 15,000 words! And that's a maximum :o I have about 4000 written from just my presentation that I can use. I can write 7000 words in a slow week :o So maybe I can keep my original outline, which has me starting writing this week and finishing before I go on excavation on the 27th... Then I'd only need to do my site report after I came back, and I'd be free to go home! It will cost me another 15 pounds to get my ticket changed again, though, hmmm... Maybe I can spend the rest of the time (or at least, some of it) in Spain...
