I've been smelling The Living Flame, one of my BPAL perfumes) all day, which was very confusing, as I *know* I put on Inferno this morning, and can still smell it on my wrists. I've been sniffing my sweater and my t-shirt all day, wondering it there is some trace amount on them somehow, but nope: nothing.

I think I've got it figure out though. I *spilled* my Living Flame (boo! But that's another story), and wiped up what I could with a clean cloth, which I stuck in my dresser. There was quite a lot of it, though, and now everytime I open my sockdrawer, I smell it. So yes. My sock drawer.

I have smelly socks! Musky-spicy-rosey smelling socks! What's more, the smell on them is strong enough that it's also on my pants where I've been sitting crosslegged.

The scent has been 'haunting' me since the spill, actually, and I'm just sensitive enough to it that this added unplanned exposure is twigging my allergies, which is unfortunate :/

In other news, I don't know what I want to do tonight, as I'm not feeling social afterall. With so many people talking about NaNoWriMo, I kind of want to write. Maybe I will do that :D But what to work on....?

I still have only the vaguest idea what NaNoWriMo is. People keep mentioning it, and I take it it has something to do with writing (which is what I should be doing today, I know). Enlighten?

wow, at this point I'd just assumed *everyone* had heard of it :o

It's National Novel Writing Month (reall, it is international now, but it started in the US and people like the acronym ;p). The goal is to write 50,000 words of a novel in the month of November. I'm not sure on the *exact* rules, and people approach it differently: some peopledont' start *planning* novels until November, others plan in advance so they can write all month... Hardly anyone, as far as I can tell actually ever *finishes* a full novel, or novella, really, even if they make their word count. Not that many people actually make their word count, for that matter, and because of the time limit, people don't tend to *edit* anything they write over the course of the month. The whole point of the exercise, though, is to try and get more people to write. There are forums somewhere, too... For the authors to talk to each other, and get ideas and consut with folks who can help them with details (experts on variuos things). It is an interesting idea, but I'd never have the time, and making the time would never be worth the stress, for me, since I write so slowly.

I guess some people have lots of time on their hands. I could *try* to put together a draft of the first volume of "Libromancy" by the end of the month, but that might cause my head to explode.

Oh, see, the irony is that no ne has the time for this, but they all do it anyway :o

You need to be more careful. Spilling Living Flame on yourself can be hazardous. :) The allergy factor must suck. :\
