I am back from fieldschool! Hooray! Kinda. It was a lot of fun, and I'll miss it and the people :/
Todsay was super awesome. We finised the 33 some shovel tests by 11. I was the last one finished digging, but that's because I had to go twice as deep to hit subsoil (about 2.5 feet). And it was hot :p
After that, we cleaned the equipment and the place where we'd stored it. then, we set up for our picnic :D The nacho dip was a success. In fact, it was the first thing people broke into. maybe that was just because it was on top, who knows? We had nacho stuff, guacamole, potatl, macaroni and caesar salad, some kind of pasta thing, deviled eggs, chips, hot/turkeydogs and ham/veggie burgers, with chili and cloeslaw on the dogs fo those who wanted it. Apparently it is some kind of carolina thing. there were also brownies. I'm sure I'm forgetting somethihng. it was all really good. I ook too much pasta though. I shoudl have had just a little bit. It was a great feast. And then, once we were all stuffed near to bursting... Lee brought out a secret surprise! She'd brought a bunch of water balloons.... and super soakers for everyone! :O It was very generous of her (she also brought the most *delicious* brownies I have ever had, ever).
Anyway, the ensuing waterfight was insanely fun :D And I got to fly y klite for a bit, but the wind wasn't consistent enough to keep it up long. And then we basked in the sunshine, and some crazy people jumped off one of the private docks and shredded themselves to pieces on barnacles trying to get back up. Well shredded is an exageration. they had no regrets :)
Tonight, we are goign to dinner at Stir Me Up, and then to see NAMTAB again. Eeee!
Hmm. someone just tried to call me, but it only rang once. Was it you? ;p
Ahh well, time for a shower :D
