I am terrible at sending out cards for 'special occasions'. Partly it is because i am never near a card store, but it is also partly because, I tend to see cards as clutter. Unles they are handmade or *really* thoughful, they don't quite seem as *special* as a letter, or even a postcard. Anyway, I *did* send dad and Jennifer a Savannah postcard, so does that coulnt?
I didn't mean for this to turn into a rant. I am planning to call dad later. probably not *too* much later, but I imagine he is going to be in church this morning and I don't know when it gets out.
What I did mean to do is say some nice things about my dad on the public record that is Livejournal ;)
My dad is a really great guy, and I have a lot of fond memories of my youth that involve him. I especially remember all the diferent trips we used to take.... mostly to undy national Park, but also to Louisbourg and Cape Breton, to Kouchibouguac (I totally had to look up how to spell that. But *I* can pronounce it, ha!). He's done a lot to help support me (or help me support myself?) in the more recent past. He os a man of very deep faith. I'm glad that he has found some happiness with Jennifer, and her cats.
And now, I will go and call :)
