I didn't really.

But I still don't have a marlin spike. Anyone out there who might be able to help me out will win my eternal gratitude. I'm told I might be able to get one at some antique store near Morehead City, for all the good that does me :p

The marlin spike was Hunter Thompson's blade of choice! There are a number available on eBay at the moment.

I need one that isn't part of a knife, is steel, and about 6-9" long.
