Today I rollewd out of bed around ten, and did hardly anything at all until one. Eventually, I went up to campus, where I picked up my essay from Carl (95%! One the paper, and over all for the class... so chuffed!), and stopped in at Eller to kill time until my hair appointment at 2:45. I saw and talked to various folks, but left in sort of a melancholy mood. I went and had my hair washed and trimmed (just a half inch, and maybe not even that much). It was nice. Douglas is a real sweetheart. the other guy, the Beautician, is always telling me that I should pluck my eyebrows. It probably would bring out my eyes, yes, but I'm lazy and not disatisfied with my apearanece, so, *shrug*. If I ever feel like I really need to go all out to overwhelm someone with my radiance, then I'll whip out the tweezers.
I walked home. It is nice out today. not too warm, and not too cool, although it can approach the edge of either extreme depending on where you are. Cooler by the river, warmer walking along the blacktop. I came home, and finished y book. Now I am trying to decide what to read next. I have a scattering of old sci-fi, I have another highsmith... But I think I will read the book Fishy gave me for Christmas. I have really no idea what it is about... The Alchemis by Paulo Coelho. This edition was clearly intended as a student text book, as there are questions for discussions in the back :o Well, I'll ignore them and the little 'plot summary', I think. Why would you put a plot summary in a book you actaullly want people to read? It makes no sense to me. Anyway, it is short. I can probably finish it in a day, or less, if I have the time. I have put my skirt on hold for now. I need a yard stick or some other long flat edge wso that I can cut out the pieces properly. I also need to master using the rolled hem attachment without pitching a fit and the machine out the window. At least I've got it *started*, though.
My hair smells nice, and I have read a good book and had a nice day. I think I will make myself an early dinner, sice I had a very early lunch, and I am starving. Game should be fun tonight too... For me, if not for my character :) What was he thinking, being *honest* with the cleric? Ha!

o.O
I read The Alchemist in French. I really liked it; it's a bit philosophical, kind of a coming-of-age/understanding sort of book.
