I am just finishing up one thing I forgot about, which is the arcaheology CD thingy for my arch, class. The section I just finished was on subsistence stuff. Part of it talked about food preservation, and I was given a bunch of different, um, foods, I supose, and told to order them according to which spoiled first. Two of the items on the list were raw fish, and brains!
So, I can't make a real poll, so this will be informal. Please reply below with your thoughts on which spoils first: Fish or Brains. I don't now what kind of brains, but the fish was salmon, and it looked like fillets, if you think that is relevant. Later, I will reveal the exciting answer!
If you like more boring things to play with, you can also try to guess if nuts or wheat spoil faster.
For extra bonus points, describe to me a situation in which it would be important to know which spoils first (brains or fish).
Have fun :)

The only time I can think that this would be important would be in a subsistence/survival situation where you have brains and fish available to eat. Which ever one kept longer you could put aside in case the next day you didn't have something to eat.
Also I believe that nuts keep longer as long as they are still in their shell.
Sometimes you feel like a nut?
Shy mental patients' brains last longer ....
Cheers!

I would imagine wheat spoils faster.
One scenario where knowledge of spoilage would be useful is if you had to store both of those items. A, I don't know, fish-and-brains warehouse.
