I'm sore, I'm tired, and I'll probably be more of both tomorrow. My ears are also ringing.
Why is this you ask? Well, for the first time since I came to this continent, I've been to an actual nightclub. It was okay. The music... well, the most tolerable music, was cheesy hard rock. It was fun, but more fun when I actually knew the tune or words, which was rare. They also had a nice feature, which was sitting rooms with *no* music (not soundproofed, but it wasn't loud anyway) and corridors where you could just hang out, not go deaf, and actually converse with people. The club in question is the Corporation. Only flaw: expensive cover charge. Well, 5 quid, but still. That seems rather expensive. I think it is less if you go earlier.
I wound up going to that after the vampire game. Where I played Porsha (Portia? could be either), which is a Toreador who has currently latched on to one of the members of the Royal court of Albion (England), a Gangrel by the name of Alexander Elwhere (I'm most definitely spelling that wrong. I'm sure of it.) Actually she is trying to get into his confidence so she can find out info that will help get him killed, but hey, whatever. So I basically hung off this guy named Matt all night. He's nice, and whatnot. They had asked his girlfriend to do it initially, but she declined. I don't think gaming is her thing. I said I would because I hadn't thought of anyone else to play that night. I didn't think my Malkavian Prince character would really go for a Nosferatu ball. There were two (bad) readings of William Blake poems.
Anyway, I wasn't really able to find out *too* much of interest, but I think he(Alex) did trust me(Portia) pretty much. Apparently, both Matt and his character are completely oblivious to the true nature of this NPC. Though I think if I were Matt I'd figure it out decently quick. Really. I mean, why *else* would the GM of such a large game go out of his way to arrange a love interest NPC for one person? Maybe I just have a suspicious mind, though. hee hee
Anyway, there were a handful of digital cameras there, so there will likely be pictures posted to the net, in which case I will relay the URL.
And then, we went to a club. Now I am home, going to write this, answer e-mail, and go to bed at a 'decent' hour.
*hop*
