The party was great fun. I got to see one of my professors do a keg-stand. I did t do one, because I don't drink beer. Otherwise, I probably would have been *made* to do one. I did so some shots and have some irish cream liqueur. It wasn't Bailey's, but I think I might have actualy liked it better. It was much creamier. However, once the ice started to melt in my glass (because I don't like ice, but warm irish cream is gross!) it became bitter. Anyway, I think the party helped diffuse some of the departmental tension, but we'll see if it actually lasts. There were a lot of really smashed proofesors, which was fun. There were also some really tasty kebobs, and too many delicious desserts.
tsiankiio crashed here (score another one for the futon!) because she hadn't been intending to stay (ha!), but then was a combination of too drunk and too tired to drive back home (far). She left here this morning to go to church (ha! Well, it is Unitarian church, so they are pretty relaxed... still, ha! ;) after some communication/coordination isues with her man. They had been planning on going grocery shopping after chuch, and she had said they would call me, but I am not sure if that is still their plan. I am going to finish reading the Midwife book, and if I haven't heard anything by 12 or so, I'm just going to go to the library. I shoud be able to get a lot done today, either way. Yesterday, I reorganized my pirate files, and started going through another book. I am still not sure if I am going to be able to do all this, but we shall see.
I also talked to my sister this morning, which made me glad, and I hope what somewhat helpful to her. I have some plans for things on that front as well.
