I have to say, however, that they are using rather strict usage rules. I mean, I've never even *heard* of a rule that distinguishes 'hard' from 'difficult', and a number of the other ones (e.g. 'critique' as a verb, 'while' vs. 'whilst') are really not hard and fast rules in modern usage, and I was especially ornery in answering the silly quiz, and was not content to put in the answers that I'm sure they think are right. So, it's pretty silly!
