I'm tired, so I'm keeping this short.

I hate the canadian student loan system. Or, maybe, I just hate the fucknut administrators of student loan funding in New Brunswick. There is one lady who isn't a slop dripping cunt bucket among them, and I think she was only a summer student for last year...

Short version, after fucking me around many many times last year and sending me into alternating fits of rage and despair, they have failed to send a check to the University for the rest of the money that I owe them, and I got a letter in the mail today, dated seven days ago, saying that if I don't reply/pay them pronto, then they are going to have to tell my department head that I am no longer registered. Which means that I would have to do some killin'.

So anyway, grrr, arg.

On top of that, I realize that I have less than a month until Ceiridwen comes to visit, and have gotten none of my essays started, let alone finished, yet. Le sigh.... I'm going to bed.
Music:: none. bleh.

I've often found that summer students are very often the most competent people in any bureaucratic institution. Not only are they usually pretty motivated and eager, they are also often better-educated than your run-of-the-mill civil servant, because these clerical/administrative summer jobs are rare and so only the very best students tend to get them. Also, as relative outsiders to the system, they tend to be more cognizant of its flaws and faults, whereas regular employees tend to be less aware of these problems.

At least, this has always been my experience, especially from when I was a summer student ;)

Yeah... I remember my first SS job, right out of high school. I was placed in the Human Resources Department of the Dept. of the Solicitor General, where I was originally just supposed to be filing; but I ended up doing half of the casual payroll, because the woman who had been hired to do it while someone else was on vacation was incompetent. Then she left to go work at UPS and I got her job. Go me!

I told you a while back that if you're busy with school, that's ok. I'm good at amusing myself. I have to be - I live in Ingonish. ^-^

I can hang out with you in the evenings or whatever. And I haven't reserved anything in Ireland because I know it's uncertain whether we will actually get there or not.

Your school work and getting your Master's degree are more important than providing entertainment for me. Especially since getting your Master's is at considerable expense to you, and you've worked so hard to get there. I understand completely if you will be busy while I am there. And I don't mind. Honest.
