I have marked about half of the exams. By which I mean, I makrk all the essays first, and I am done that. And now I dispair. -_- I worry that I mark too hard, or something, because I gave out an awful lot of 40/60's... but they didn't answer the right question. And that isn't my fault.

I have decided, though, that I loathe marking exams for classes that I haven't attended, especially when I know that the exam itself is a standard one the proff uses in a class he has been teaching for years. I wonder, based on the amount of kids who don't understand the question, if it really is something they were taught clearly, or not. Is it wrong of me to be so suspicious? Are kids really that dumb? On the other hand, there are enough who did get it right, or understood what was being asked well enough to answer it well, that I'm not sure. Bah. In anywace, I am taking a break for nachos and the internet before I finish up.

The answer is that yes, you should be suspicious, but also yes, kids really are that dumb. When something is taught somewhat poorly, the smart kids will get it anyway, while the dumb ones (or the ones who skipped that class and read if off someone's notes) won't get it.

Basically the way it works is that if the majority of the class do not get the question it was probably not taught properly or the question itself is vague.
