Ceiridwen!

I bet she thinks I have forgotten all about this,. I bet she has forgotten all about this! In fact, I have just been Biding My Time, mwa ha!(1)

So, yes, months and months a go, I posted a meme saying that if you would like me to write nice things about you, you should respond, and Ceiridwen, a.a.k.C a.k.a. Debbie, a.k.a. [livejournal.com profile] ladyiolanthe is the last on my list, mostly because she was also thre last person, as I recall, to respond.

C is one of my very good friends. I think we met when I was in Highschool, or maybe early university. I'm sure I'd seen her around before, but we really *really* met at my first SCA event, which was an excursion to the barony of whatsit in Halifax, where the people are mostly nice with the exception of those who are awfully snooty for people who like to flounce around in fancy dresses and tell people they're royalty ;p In anycase, it was fun, and we started to get to knoweach oter better then. Or maybe I'm wrong and we already knew each other at that point from NERO? i have recollections of sharing a bed with this lovely lady at *some* SCA event, and since we haven't been to many, I'm tempted to think it was this one (and whose jealous? ;)

In any case, C is very creative, and has, I think, a deep commitment to her hobbies. She sticks with things. She's creative, and crafty, and not one to suffer boredom if she can work on something neat (or, yes, maybe play Baldurs gate or the Sims for hours on end ;). She is an excellent artist in all the media I have seen her attempt (drawing, writing, sewing, tapestry, music, stained glass, etc etc etc! I'm sure she's added more to this recently, since she's taken up quilting as well :). She's fun to hang around with, and like most of my close friends, has a silly streak that runs very deep. Which incites her to do things like make up silly songs about her pets, or create soap opera futures for various RPG characters ^-^

And on top of this, I really respect her independence. She's willing to move around to do what she wants, and even just to try new things. She's seen a lot more of Canada than I have, which I envy a lot. Someday, I will have to go visit her frozen domain to the north! She's always had a lot of drive to be self-sufficient, and has always been successful at doing it, be it learning to drive, or holding down crappy part time jobs in university so she can afford to come out and see her friends, or, whatever!. And for all her travels, she still maintains close relationships with her family.

She is ra really good friend, too, who always is willing to listen and try to cheer people up, or offer whatever support she can. I know she cares a lot for her friends, and that we are really important to her and that makes *me* feel special too. Aww...

*heart*

(1)By which I mean that thought I have never really forgotten, it's been a matter of remembering when I had time to do it. Like now! ^-^

It is beyond my meagre powers of description. People have moonlamps stuck down their pants so that their bits glow. There is also a moose. They ride the moose. The moose also glows. It is hilariously disturbing.

DANGER! DANGER!

Well shit... the university network won't let me upload a file that big. :( If you have msn I can probably do it that way (that's how I got it in the first place), although it may take a bit.

Aww! I feel loved, too. I think it was at SCA that we really became fast friends. And it was a waterbed we shared, at Lord Sheepstealer's relatives' house in Dartmouth.

And you are totally awesome! ^-^
