An hour until Perseity! And I just got home about 15 min ago. Yarr. Tuesdays and Thursdays are a long one for me. Especially since the internet (or maybe just LJ) was being screwy this afternoon and I couldnt get on from the history lab to plague you with posts. I can see the tears in your eyes from here!
Anyway, this morning, I got up early-ish, and went over to use the eliptoical machine before class. However, since I was only up early-ish as opposed to actually early, I only had time for a 25 min workout session, including warm-up and cool-down. I took a quick shower, and thengot dressed and headed out.
Mat Culture was all fine. I need to think about the presentation so Dr Babits can assign readings. I'll look through the textbooks I have. I also need to think aboutwhat to do for the paper in that class. Basically, we need to examine an artifact class, and look at use and change and whatever over a period of time. I think I'll go through my Hume book and see if I can find anything that grabs my attention. he teased us with taking about songs as material culture (Babits generally likes really *broad* definitions), but said that it would be too hard to find info to do it for the paper. Shame, I think it woudl ahev been ingteresting. Ahh well. If anyone has suggestion for types of maritime related things that you thiknk I might find fascinating, I'm open to suggestions. i know that the trick to doing well on this paper, and in this class in general, is going to be to find something that can hold my interest.
After that class, I went had had a fastfood lunch. Yes, bad me. Ahh well. then I went to the History lab, where I was surprised to find Michelle. Maybe she is working there this term? Anyway, we chatted about stuff, and then I did soem readings for Mat Hist. then I went to see carl. I went at the beginning of his office hours. He was running a little late, because he was talking to someone.in the office, and there was another girl already there. So that meant I had to wait an hour because, well, Carl is chatty! Which is fune. I enjoy talkign to him, and that means it is only fair to wait out other people's long conversations with him. Anyway, an hour later... I asked him about what I am planning to do for my paper for Am Mat Culture. yes, I'm getting on top of shit *early* this term! For one thing, with this paper, I'm going to have to. I have a lot of stuff to look through, and I don't know what al I'm goign to even find. I decided that snce it is part of my thesis, I am going to use this class to review the sources and see what all has been said about pirates and their land interactions in the documentary record. Yeah. Eek! It is going to be pretty scattered, so that's a lot of research for not a lot of reward. It's going to mean a lot of microflm. I'll start it next week. Tomorrow, I'll finish looking up stuff on boats for that little paper, and see if I can shit that out over the weekend. And read then next carl book. man... so busy, when will I have time to write porn? I'll have to *make* time! I can do that. And time to make other things. Sewing projects will be accomplished, oh yes they will..
I'm feeling really ambitious right now. Lets see how long it lasts? And lets not think about all the stuff I shoudl really do before I even start on this crap... ;p I need to buy/ship Christmas presents stil, for one! :o I'm going to get dinner... But I can work on *something* during Perseity, surely! After I'm done all the solos...

Oh yes, at some point I need to do/catch-up on the exercises that I am behind with for my arch methods class, now that I have the CD. Hrm.
