Nice is full of dog poop. I am sure that they do not have, and at the very least do not enforcem any 'stoop and scoop' laws. On top of that, people are forever bringing their dogs into restaurants! Nowm I know I have said similar things about the British brining dogs everywhere, and I know that many pubs across the UK have associated dogsm, but I'm takking about sit-down fancy restaraunts! Dogs! Nowm I am also talking fairly small dogs. Terriers and such, that might just about fit in a small handbag. I saw two in the restaurant tonight, and one on Friday night (assuming that I am correct in thinking today is Sunday - I've kind of lost track). What is with that? Do they just have diferent concerns with hygiene or something? Ahhh well.
This being the French Riviera, there are a lot of really classy boutiques with classy clothes. It is nice to look at, I suppose, but none of it is anything I would ever really wear. And none of the tourist tat here is attractive r interesting. I haven't sent any postcards from France. I did send a couple from Venice though. I will probably send more from Barcelona, too, But Nice lacks for dictinctive flair. It is maybe *too* Touristy. i did enjoy the museums earlier, especially seeing the archaeology stuff, with the various roman pottery types and so on. I almost bought Rob an Erotic Knife, but it was kind of expensive (sorry Fishy!). I might have bought some Asterix and Obelix figures but all I have was a 50€ note and they couldn't break that at the museum. Nice is pretty, and I am liking it here, despite the weather, but I am not enthralled with the place the way I was with Venice. I am expecting a lot more from Barcelona, though. I am really looking forward to seeing it, and seeing Destral again. Tomorrow! Eeeee!
