I thought I would share this disgusting quote with the world. Enjoy!

This is from a guy who was living with logwood cutters in Belize, talking about what they ate and such, quotes in someone else's thesis:

There are great Numbers of Goanoes [iguana], upon whose Eggs we often feasted, drinking 'em mix'd in Punch.

That's raw igana eggs mixed with rum punch! Eww!

There are a few drinks out there that involve a raw egg in them - such as the red eye. How gross it is I think would depend if the eggs are mixed in with the punch ,i.e. stirred in, or just sort of dumped in the punch. Mixing would just make the drink thicker sort of like a drunken pirate egg nog.

I assume the second, since it does explicitly say "mix'd." Still, eww! the only way it is acceplable to consume raw eggs is in cookie dough.
