Today, in history class, we talked about the Tudors. I couldn't remember the name of the first Tudor king, or how he came to power.

I probably deserve to be taken out and shot, and there will probably be some English folk out there who would volunter to do the honours. -_-

I hope you've now looked it up, so I don't have to make fun of you too much? ;)

Well, we went over it in class, so my memory has been jogged. It was one of those classes where the proff (Swanson) asked us to fill things in, though. I was terribly embarassed, but at least his gentle mocking of our ignorance was generally addressed, and he didn't have any reason to know that I *really* should have known that -_-

Tsk, tsk.

They're even numbered, for convenience! ^_^

*HORROR!!!!*

Henry VII, who took the throne when Richard the Third was killed at Bosworth. Which was the last battle of the Wars of the Roses (and you may even have been there, I can't remember).

And you REALLY should have known that!! LOL!!! Did we teach you nothing?

To be fair however, I would imagine the majority of Brits wouldn't know off the top of their heads. The re-enactors would, but the general plebs probably wouldn't.

No, I never made it to Bosworth. I like to think that if I *had*, I may have remembered it a little better. *sigh*

*bangs her head against the wall in penance*

Still, you were an exceptional 'medieval clothing 101' student, so I guess I'll have to forgive you :-)

Heh. Maybe I didn't know who the king was, but I could tell you how his soldiers were dressed ^-^
