It seems, more and more, that my life here is settling into a pattern where the things I do include: a) going to class b) working on school work or c) gaming/chatting online.
There are other things that I could do, in theory, but I have no transportation (Or I might have a dance class on Wednesdays before Exia, for example...).
I'm not sure what I think of this. I mean, I get along well with most people in my program, but we haven't really gotten to the level of just hanging out friends... and then all my strangeness will out and we'll never agree on movies ;)
I really enjoy online stuff, and it has been especially fun lately... but I am afraid of not getting out of this pattern. hrm.
Tonight, for instance, I'm finishing a book review (yes, another one) due Thursday so I can game tomorrow. I'll be off and on all night if anyone is going to be around...

It is important to get to know people in your deptartment if for no other reason than networking. However, since Greenville seems to have nothing in the way of any real transportation besides I am assuming taxis that would seem to be difficult.
What you should do to convince people to come visit you is to say... give away free choclate chip cookies with every visit :) It would definitely convince me!
