No Wenner Gren for me....

So, I guess I won't be doing my fieldwork in the spring at this point. I won't have time to process NSF money by then.

So, hmm.

The upside is that the reviewer comments could be helpful for strengthening my NSF proposal. If I can figure out how to respond to them, anyway.

Not so much this time around. Lots going on - too much, really. Need to be less social -_- Need to be less internet-y

So:
Read Jack Greene's Pursuits of Happiness
Read most of Richard White's Middle Ground
Read part ( a small part) of material Life in America
Read a smaller but proportionally larger part of the ship carpenter thesis
Wrote about a page and a half on NSF project Description, for about 7 1/2 total pages, some of which is good and some of which is less so.

I found out that I didn't get the Wenner Gren, which is not surprising, I guess. I'm not sure if it is better not to have made it to round two or not... At least I have comments to work with.

I really need to figure out what i am going to do with my project now. I really can't see me raising the extra ~$9k I need before spring. Ugh.

On the other hand... I think I need a dal to rally, so I am going to go read. Yes...
