Ahh, VD. I am going to dress medium tarty today, and anticipate cookies from gats coming today or tomorrow. Woot!

Speaking of VD... I gave my dead had drive to Sam, who is the local computer whizz, to see if he could recover any data for me. And he said he did manage to get it off. Also, he wasn't using protection, and I didn't know that hard drive had a virus, so of course I couldn'r warn him about it -_- Now I feel like a dick. He got the stuff onto his applications machine, which is not connected to the net, but I think he uses to run his server. I hope that it doens't cause him too many problems D: But hey, at least he did recover my data! That means all kinds of great stuff - papers from last year, piles and piles of pictures, Exia logs we'd thought missing forever... Good/bad, for sure.

In other news, I am really grooving on this song of late :o

So, I got an e-mail back from the editor of Dark Wisdom today. He likes my story. However, he has asked if, rather than submit it to the magazine, I might consider instead submitting it for an anthology that he is editing calledHigh Seas Cthulhu. The book pays (only) twice yearly royalties. The magazine pays 250$ upfront.

I am tempted to go for the book, but I have no idea about any of this publishing stuff, and I don't know how much it would even be - like 20$ twice a year or something?

Any advice? 250$ right now would be nice, but a: I don't think it would be 'right now' and b: it isn't going to make or break me.

However the fact that I just spent 70$ on fabric and patterns because the Hancocks fabrics here is having a going out of business store - that was probably not my best move :o
