So yes! I had a good day yesterday, generally. I already related my afternoon, and you will probably notice that I spent part of last night finishing up the last of my drabble requests! I even posted a bonus one this morning for
ladyiolanthe, and I may write one more that is just for me :) After that, I should probably get dressed ;) I am waiting to hear from Dina about what our plans are this weekend, and then I have to go mail a thing! or maybe more than one thing. And if I'm not doing stuff with Dina, then I will probably go swimming again. And mess with my sewing machine. Yes, must keep busy!
last night I wound up goign to Art Walk. ECU has an art program, and as part of their final year project 9I think) the graduating people get to ut on a show at local galleries. And then all the businesses down town stay open, and there are snacks and things at the other various local galleries. I went with maria, who I haven't seen in *ages*! She is doign well, and it was nice to catch up. There was also csome cool things to be seen, and we had tea (I had a really yummy black current blend) and wandered. The main gallery with the art people shows was very packed, so we eventually wandered off elsewhere. We poked our heads into a little shop called The Petticoat Pirate, which was a neat little arty boutique place. There were a bunch of little kids playing outside in a bubble machine, and when we came in this really little girl (maybe 4-5?) ran over to her mother (who either works there or is friends with the people who do, I wasn't sure.) "Mommy mommy! They're here! the *pretty* girls are here!" It was so cute! And flattering. Never met the kid before in my life. I rpoceeded to get compliments on my dress and hair stick, which was greatly envied. Everyone wants two pronged hair sticks! The lady in question actaully makes realy nice regualt hair sticks, and I would have bought a pair, or even just one, but instead I bought a birthday present for someone else :) She also complimented my hair. win, hee! And the store has the stuffed microbes! No black death, aids, or syphillis though, alas. They did have ebola though. And sleeping sickness, and slew of the more mundane ones. Anyway, I had a good day, and saw all kinds of people I knew (I saw about 4-5 people form my program at the gym). I hope that today is equally good :)
