So, I went to the Irish lecture tonight with full intent f learning and being responsible and coming home, having diner, and doing thesis work.
Instead I was waylaid by a pomengranate martini Kim, and wound up at the Starlite for three hours, fisrst sitting out in the wind and talking to peeps, and later sitting inside and listening to a lady with a guitar sing Irish music, which was ostensibly the reason we'd gone. It was too packed to get inside seat when we initially arrived though, thus the outsideness. And I just got home. Well, okay, I just got home and read lj, and am now writing this.
Anyway, it was a good night, but probably it was not my best choice for what I could have done with my evening. I expect that the weekend will be pretty much a write-off for working, what with the Seabiscuits and Bitters night, the dancing for kids (I need to burn my music and familiarize myself with it more still, too), and, oh, also the marking ~50 undergrad exams that I'd completely forgotten about -_- Oh, and also the other Irish archaeology seminars tomorrow.
*sigh*
And oh, those of you who are very clever might have noticed that I accidentally drank my dinner tonight, nevermind that I didn't really have the money for a single martini, especially at the Starlite. It was good though, so, I guess that'll have to be my compensation.
I regret little, but I am going to bed ;)
