I decided I wanted to read Old Granny Fox.

It has peter rabbit in it. I was confused. I remember this peter rabbit. I remember a great deal of stories involving him,. but my brain was saying "Didn't Beatrix Potter write the Peter Rabbit stories?" And yes, she did. But that was a *different* Peter Rabbit. Hers came first, it seems, with Thornton W Burgess's books being published about eight yearsa later, but his books are more about life in the forest than about silly rabbits. I like mine better. You can tell my parents were foresters, all reading us stories about animals where they actually have to worry about survival, and it is okay for them to eat each other because that is nature's way. oh, and also, Old Granny Fox is all about how old people are smater than you ^-^

You can read them here. Old Mother West Wind comes first.

I read some tonight. Online kids books, it was nostalgic. It is also giving me Ideas. I feel like writing again. of course, I dn't have time...

I went to the library, but got very little done, I'm still stuck where I was before. I didn't really make any progress at all, but I tricked myself into maybe thinking I had. Blah. I am not sure if I should go back tomorrow, or not bother. I probably have enough early stuff that I can start writing *something* at least. Dr. Ewen said that he is mostly interested in the 18th century stuff. Well, I can take him up into the 1730's. Maybe if I go over the stuf I have I'll be able to figure it out more clearly. It might be helpful to me to write it out too. And I still have to finish my prospectus. And then I can go out and play in the afternoon. Sounds like a plan to me!

Apart from reading, I posted game logs for the stuff I run/help administrate (posting logs = administration. I want extra hero points, damnit!), and worked on Gnomes. As I said, I feel like writing again. I was listening to this song earlier tonight and it reminded me of the Daniel stuff I never finished. I think I would like to write more on that. maybe if I concern myself less about having an audience, it will bother me less not to have one? Hmmm. I also boxed up some books. I'm going to try and get as much as I can done for moving early, so I will have less to worry about in July.

Right now, I am tired. I think I will climb in to bed, possibly with a book.

G'night!
