First some general non-story ramblings :) Hooray, my journal is no longer in read-only mode, for one! I've had this done for *hours*, let alone that I had other things I wanted to say! Like that my chili turned out awesome! Also, I almost forgot that I don't have class tomorrow morning! this is super sweet - I get to sleep in! I'm not setting my alarm, and if I wake up early, I will make pancakes, and bacon! or at least have a bagel or something, to celebrate. I have class at 12:30.

As far as the story goes, I would very much appreciate feedback, as always! I think that at some point (not this time, though), I will make a back dated entry that has the whole thing all together.... anyway! I will post this and then probably go to bed, unless I really feel like readng more of Citizens of the World

I have fixed up the second part just a tad, too. And this new section is quite a bit longer than the other two, probably equalling them both put together, if not more :o And I am still trying to think of a better title, and am open to suggestion.

Parts 1 and 2 here

First of all... I just got out of bed about ten minutes ago! *dance*

Secondly... drool, fire, drool more...

Thirdly, um.... I'm going to go make breakfast, yes! It will be exciting *and* delicious! And then maybe I will stop feeling so light-headed, eep!

Fourthly, um.... Congrats Julie and Steve, again ;)

Finally... I put up my nest story bit yesterday, people should sneak breaks at work to read it and comment ;)

I got a package today, finally! This was one I ordered: stuff from Amazon.com. In this case, I got a new, diffferent version of A General History of the... Pirates, this one edited by Manuel Schoenhorn, and (inaccurately) attributed to Daniel Defoe. This version includes both the first and second editions of the book, so has more pirates ;) This is my third edition of the book. I have a first ed. folio edition (the box is broken, alas, and it is very incomplete version of only the first ed), and the one edited by David Cordingly. I am always looking for more though :)

I also now have a copy og Alexander Exquemelin's Buccaneers of America, although this is the thinnest version of it I have ever seen :o I will have to look through the into and see how heavily edited it is, because it is really about 1/3 the size of the other versions I have seen, hmmm...

The other thing was this shiny new Tom Waits album, yay!

Now, I will go back to listening to music and eating my extremely delicious chili :D

I finally heard back from Vroomba today, too. They replied to both my e-mails. They have come out with a new connection manager program that should help with some of the connection isses I've been having. Apparently, it is 'tailored for [my] property', which sounds promising ;p They have also sent people out here a time or two to check things over. And they said they will look into prioritizing my mIRC port. And then I got *another* e-mail asking what mirc client I use, so it seems like they are actually looking into things, which is encouraging. The messages they sent were very nice too.

I actually got my stuff from Amazon *before* i received the notice that it had been shipped, which I actually only got just now. Wacky.

The e-mail was dated from Tuesday, mind... but is that really the point? ;)

For the maritime program's newsletter...

Heather Hatch is originally from Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada (eh?). She has a BA in anthropology from the University of New Brunswick, and an MA in European Historical Archaeology from the University of Sheffield in England. She is interested in examining piracy in the early eighteenth century through a combined archaeological and historical approch, as well as piracy in other periods and other aspects of eighteenth century maritime life. Non-academic interests include middle eastern dance, creative writing, medieval re-enactment, and pillaging.

Now, I will go shower, and hopefully that will re-envigorate me enough to slog through some moe of Citizens of the World. It isn't a bad book, but it is a *long* one... 400 pages! Eep!
