I woke up this morning around 4 and couldn't get back to sleep again until around 5:30... I couldn't think of why at the time, but I remembered this morning that that was aproximately the time that Hazel was supposed to be getting in to the UK. I hope all is going well with that. I think she should be on the train to Aberystwyth(too sleepy to spell right) just about now.

I also had a dream last night that I decided to go back to Sheffield to do my PhD (which makes little sense), but I hadn't really told people I was coming, so I was going around trying to find everyone and say hi. For some reason I was having trouble catching up to them, or else they just didn't seem to notice/recognize me. It didn't seem discouraging at the time, just kind of annoying. It sounds like a worse dream than it was, I think. There were crowds, I think. I was going around to places which, in my dreams, had been common hang out but mostly don't exist in the real world. Also, mostly everyone was very well dressed, and I think I had some friends with me. Possibly they were Hazel and Rob.

I think I had this dream *before* I woke up around 4, but now I am sleepy and I don't recall. And I have to get to school in about 40 min to go over the test I am going to proctor and slave over all weekend. I also need to print out a book review. And this afternoon is the National History Honours Society barbeque (Phi Alpha Theta), which I am planning to attend because there will be free food. I need to get out to Best Buy or somewhere this weekend and buy a jump key, as well.

Busy busy busy. And also, sleeeeeeepy... I should go get dressed.

Okay, I really hope that some of the TO folks are reading this.

Hazel sent me a highly stressed out e-mail this morning, sometime between when I left the house at 7:45 and when I got out of my meeting with my proff at ~8:30. The gist of it was that she couldn't get in to the UK. Apparently the school didn't tell her that there was a form, or piece of paper or *something* that she needed, anyway, and they couldn't let her in without it. I dn't have the details.

When She e-mailed me, she said that they were sending her back to TO in an hour, but the rest of the message implies that maybe they wouldn't (?). I haven't heard from her since.

Anyway, if I get more updates I will inform you all, and otherwise, I hope that is she is on a plane now and due to arrive... at some point? That someone will be able to give her a hand at the airport and with sorting this stuff out in person, which alas, I cannot do. I know my dad said that he would try to get a hold of the British High Comission in Ottawa, but I don't know if any progress has been made with that. I don't know if she has gotten ahold of the school or anything, but she said that they were saying it was her fault (though immigration blamed the school), so apparently there was some kind of communication. the problem is that the entrance requirements have changed in the past year, so probably they didn't send her updated info or whatever. Cocksuckers, anyway. :p

I have to go proctor an exam in an hour, but I will stay here by the computer until I have to go get ready for that. I hope that I will hear from some of the TO crow so that at least you know this is going on, should you be needed to help....

I just got home about 20 min ago, if that. I am waiting for my soup to heat uip so that I can have something more to eat than crackers before I go take a well-deserved nap. I feel like I have gotten even less sleep than I have. I need to mark about a million exams... okay, maybe closer to 100. That's 50 for the Methods of History class that I've been sitting in on, and 50 for the American History (ha!) class that I am just marking for.

I will reward myself with that barbeque later, and maybe I will also go to the mall *tonight*, just for a change of pace. To get that memory thingy. Zzz.

I want to make LJ updates for Perseity, but my brain is too mushy. I will try to post any amusing essay bits and definitions form the exams in a secure post,, for your entertainment.

So far, just skimming through, I notice one note about herotodus saying that he used modern methods of historiography. I can just see him using a time machine to come and learn all our secret history tricks, and then going back to his own era to become a great sagacious history Guru with all of his stolen secrets. That's redundant and probably only amusing to me, but I'm tired, so cope.

I just bought myself an early birthday present that smells nice. Or possibly like dead fish, but hopefully not ;)

Now, with about 13 more Hist 3000 essays to mark, my eyes are telling me to go to bed! I'll finish those and the Identifications tomorrow. Ayup, that's what I'm going to do, really... ;p
