Brownie, my mom's 12 year old dohg, had to be put to sleep last night because her stomach twisted. Poor Brownie.... Poor Mom. Brownie was a sweet dog, though not necessarily the brightest bulb. And I'm sure we'll be finding treasures of hers (dog hairs) for many months to come...
On the brighter side of thigs, I managed to finish all my chocolates in time to take some over to Shan and Dave before they left for the 'Shi. And Fishy came over to play with us for a while, before running off with Dean and Jason. It was nice to see him again!
On the down side, I stupidly got into a debate with Dave about his MSC project. I really should know better by now. *sigh* Our pointless debating 'meh'ed' Hazel too, and wasted much time.
Tomorrow afternoon, I'm helping out with a concert. It is nioce to be doing music stuff again, I'd forgotten how much I like it. I'm also surprised how easily it has all come back. Maybe there will be a university band at WlU or UoW that I can play with, or equivalent. I'm not going to have much spare time in Onrario, methinks. The piece I am playing tomorrow is The Snowman... which is odd, because Mary had the music on her Christmas MP3 list last year, so I was familiar with it. It is an annual Christmas special they play on the BBC... an animated story of this kid who makes a snowman, it comes to life, they play around his house, and then go out on a magical adventure to the north pole and whatnot. There is some boy soprano singing in it. The music is narrated, but I can't remember now if the animated special was, or if they just let the pictures stand for themselves... Anyway, lots of crazy percussion running around and whatnot.
I may go see TTT again tomorrow night, with people. Or maybe on Monday. Fishy hasn;t seen it yet, and neither had C, I don't think, and I want to see it *again*. I also need to finish up chocolate trays for other people and see what I've got left, aharr...
now I must sleep. Rehersal at 12 to 2:30, and then concert at 3. I'm supposed to wear 'something festive'...
