While most of the mid-‘90s Can-Rock is either washed up or has gone to power chord heaven, The Tea Party continue to release their brand of middle-eastern tinged rock. Seven Circles, hitting shelves tomorrow, is their most commercial rock album to date. Jeff Martin and crew have gradually been phasing out the eastern influences and on this release, they stick carefully close to the west. From Chartattack.com

I need imput form people who might have actually heard any of the tracks on this disc though, because I read another review's dissapointment that there is too *much* middleeastern influence and not enough rocking out. Man... I hate people, I hate that jerks like that can actually have any input into a band I really liked, and take them away from the things that I really liked about them.

Okay, I found an Australian site with a stream... Lets see if it works!

It's rock-y, but still TP, and not shabby... it's just a lot... plainer? More simple? than some of their pre IM stuff, but even so, better than IM. Better lyrics anyway. I don't know if I'd buy a CD for this song though. But I might buy it out of *faith*.

Hm.. this middle section is pretty okay...

Really, I'm rambling, I just want them to put out something to restore my faith after IM, which sucked quite a lot, imho.

Other opinions?

I'm not as big a fan as you are however, I did like some of the songs such as "Ocean" and some of the songs in the middle that sound more like their earlier stuff. The first two songs I found were rather pop-y and sounded rather typical Canadian rock. Not a wasted purchase but not a solid album.
