I will admit that I am a sucker for inter net quizzes. Some deep, secret part of me longs to have some way of proving that I am a beautiful unique snowflake, to affirm that I am interesting and elite, and worthy. Mostly, I know it is just all crap. I take quizzes honestly... I try not to aim for answers or let myself be led toward a preferred choice. And I know that just because I say I am athletic, and quietly competent, or what have you, doens't really mean I'm a Huflepuff or a Magic Rainbow Star Fairy, Or that my aura is Purple and my favourite sex position is Cowgirl, or whatever.
But still, I prefer the illusion to be some how real. I don't really care so much for the ones where you put in your name and in less thah five seconds the internet is telling you that your best friend since kindergarted has been harbouring a grudge against you for the last five years, or that some guy you're only actually met twice and talked to less is your secret soul mate. Some of them, like that gosspi one that went wround a while back, are designed to be silly, and they are, and that's fine. But its the ones that pretend to offer you somethign they really can't tghat annoy me.
So why do I take them? Beats me. It's just sort of dissapointing, really... it's a meaningless time waste that isn't even a good time waste, except that it has inspired this entry. There is no mystery - it just grabs some names from your friends list, and poof! Really... and my favourite way to test these is to put in fake LJ users (real journals, fake people) and see what happens.
Some of those journals have been used a grand total of never! Anyway, I'm sad.
On the other hand, I am also full of cookies, and my dad will be here tonight, so really, why should I let the slipping standards of internet quizzes keep me down?
