Saturday morning, I woke up and prepared myself... I needed to do laundry and go to the market. Conveniently, the market is a block away from the laundromat, which is less conveniently seven or eight blocks away from our house. I filled two suitcases ( a load each) canvassed in vain to find someone willing able and ready to go with me, and headed out. I screwed up things at the laundromat (unsurprising) and had to wash everything twice. Not sure if it is because I put in too much soap or if I accidentally interrupted things or if they are just shitty mahines or what. I think a combination of the first and second. I keep forgetting that you can't trust the levels on the scoops. Anyway, I was there washing longer than intended, but I did get to read more of Sodomy and the Pirate Tradition. The chapter I am on now is talking about the disparity of the sex ratios in the Caribbean, and how that means that probably there was more gay ass fuckin' going on than people might like to think. I dunno. I'm dubious but I wonder if I am being overly critical of some of his arguments. On the other hand my other pirate sodomy books says some things which are in direct contradiction to this one (mostly about contemporary attitudes towards sodomy in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries), so who knows? There isn't anyone around I can discuss it with :p

Hem. That was a bit of a segueway. but I finished washing, tossed stuff in the dryer and went on y market rounds. I came home and tried to rouse people to do somethi0ng fun... to have a going out kind of adventure. The response was not very encouraging. I called Bronwen, and she came over. We hung out for a while, then went on an awesome adventure to the bank, to mock LARPers, and to kidnap Danielle, who we suspected we might come across. And we did! She wasn't there to play, and was happy to see us. We stole her away and had coffee, and caught up, and all was good.

Then Kit (That's Bronwen still, for the record) and I came back home, and watched some forbidden Live Action Sailor Moon.... Surprisingly, Hazel joined us for a bit, stayed, and made few undeserved snide remarks. It is pretty cute actually. I'd watch more and not fear for my soul or brain cells too much. After that, Kit left (to go home, which came as a bit of a surprise since she thought she had a birthday party to attend. Turns out it is next weekend though). And then I had Perseity! Kind of... there were some solo scenes going on since we didn't have any games today. I actually did as much Diablotin as Perseity, and both were very fun :) The I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning talking to a friend online who had had a Very Bad Day, and watching someone else's online game.

Today was an odd day for me, since I usually have two games on Sundays and today there was none! My schedule being comepletely clear, I lazed around in bed until noon(!) and didn't even get up to take a shower until Hazel called to say she was being Sent. She came home, we talked for a bit, and I stared playing Tactics Advance on her game boy.... I wasn't paying attention and I accidentally named my main character DAVIS. He comes from a land with no miniscule letters, apparently. Anyway, it was keen enough, but I am less and less likely to get addicted to playing video games these days. I still haven't even ever finished FFIV, and its my favourite! I have it on two platforms, even since I have Chronicles and the original super nintendo catridge (which I've lent to Frankie). Anyway, I wound up going out with both Robbins girls to the house where C is dog sitting. They have three nice dogs and a yorkshire football. Okay, one of the dogs isn't theirs, it is just being looked after, because it is missing an ear and it's real owner is too old to care properly for the huge gaping open wound on the side of its head. Poor Toby. Oh, I guess there is a cat too. Anyway, we watched Zoolander which didn't impress me as much as I was lead to believe it would, pretty much for exactly the reasons I had avoided it in the first place. I don't like comedy that only works because a character is stupid. There were some amusing moments, but overall I rate it a 'meh'. After that we walked the dogs (Yorkies running throuugh snow - even shallow snow - is pretty funny. Amy had doubled her weight by the time we got back to the house), and then I came back in! Rob was online, and tried to power-game my Diablotin character for me (it isn't enough that he do his own, he has to do the rest of the party too! ^-^) while I did some Perseity LJ stuff. Then I had dinner and I'm writing this! The excitement never ends!

No one is home here at the moment, that I am aware of. I suppose Hazel could be in her room, but I suspect that she and Jodie went out, possibly to a movie. I could be very wrong, but I'm hardly going to cry about it ^-^.

I think I will lie down for a bit and listen to some Tea Party and maybe read.

Edit They came home while I was proofreading. They did go see a movie, I am still psychic. *dance* Also, Joel got a Dawn of the Dead pen at the film when we went on Friday. And I totally almost typoed that 'Dawn of the Dean', which is amusing because we saw him (Dean) there on Friday. Arr!
Mood:: 'sleepy' sleepy

Ah, so that's why you like pirates so much. It appeals to the m/m slash fangirl in you. :D

Is Kit your personal nickname for Bronwen or something?

"Sent"?

DAVIS: or possibly his name is an acronym... for his name! :) Douglas Andrew Vincent Isobod Starke. :)

What else have you been psychic about?

... Dawn of the Dean. Sounds like a corny coming of age movie set on a campus to me. :)
