I am going away for the next few days to the Miramichi to visit my dad and stepmother. I'll be back sometime on the 28th (Sunday).

I am taking l;ots of books with me, because reading is just about all there is to do there besides visit people I hardly know (Jewnnifer's extended family). The food is guaranteed to be excellent, though, because they are Lebanese. Secretly, I am hoping for phatire. Maybe I can get dad to make some with me if they don't have any.

Anyway, books! I got a lot of them for Christmas. I got a slew of pirate books from Joel and his parents. A pirate colouring books, wuth woodcuts, even :D It is right awesome.

Books I am taking with me include: The Best of Fritz Leiber, a second hand short story book I'm almost finished, Jack of Kinrowan, a de Lint book I borrowed from C and haven't finished yet, The Silent Gondolieres from Julie and Steve, an S. Morganstern classic (yay!), and Rum, Sodomy and the Lash: piracy, sexuality and masculine identity by Hand Turley, from Joel's parents. I am also taking my journal so I can write if the mood strikes me. It is a good place for it... so quiet, no internet. I doubt I will finish much, but I want to have a good selection! I have to take up presents too. Arr! See you all on Sunday. Except *maybe* Danielle, who I will see if I can get ahold of while I am away. Arr! Now I go downstairs to eat more bread that Frankie made me for breakfast. Mmmm, bread.
Mood:: 'hungry' hungry

We tried calling you today, but there was no answer. Since we didn't see you on the bus, I guess you must've gotten home another way--like by flying!
