The Cave of Wonders! .... I mean, The Results To Last Year's 3 day novel contest!
Many apologies to
curtana for blatantly theiving some Diablotin NPC names for my story, Looking Beyond. I have to say, that really, it seems more like an introduction for the characters... an excuse for them to have more adventures. I really like the little bit of the world that I have created, and Carrow, especially. Hee, necrotizing flesh ^-^ Kudos to Curtana, who came in Second, and Romulus, who came in first but is incredibly unlikely to see this post, as far as I am aware. I am just getting on to reading the other stories now.
I have to say, I don't think that comments by the judges shouo be optional. I think they should be required! I mean really, it is unsatisfying to be marked for something and not know why. So, kudos to
prolixfootle for commenting. Arr!
Also, I curse myself for my inability to proofread my own stuff. I think that I should never be allowed to post or submitt anything unless I have not seen it for at lest a month, because only then do my truly cringeworthy typing abominations become obvious to me. Yee. Ahh well, that's as good as you get for 'three days'. I figure, typos are likely to be more numerous when I don't *have* as much time to proofread. And even if, technically, I *could* have taken the time, it didn't seem to be in the spirit of the thing.
In other news, I am going to go see The Hobbit tonight, with Hazel, and Ceiridwen, and Bronwen, who I hear has a picture for me :D Which is all well and good, but I was getting rather attached to the CD I made her in exchange ^-^
