Well, despite raelizinfg at about two Am last night that I ahd done the wrong readings in preparation, then panicking, and trying to do too much late night reading and being tired this morning when I finished them, I think my Scope and Methods class went pretty darned well :D I was able to take up most of the time (Started about 5-10 min late, waiting for people, ended about 5-10 min early because there wasn't enough time to start another discussion on a new reading), and mostly avoided any awkward pauses. I was able to answer questions and everything, and I even knew things a lot better than I thought I would. Talk about jumping in feet first: my first day as a proff, and I had to explain Clifford Geertz's theory of Religion ^-^ I did, though. I'm not sure they all got it. Geertz is pretty heavy, especially early in the term, and especially when people don't really have an anthropology background.

Tomorrow will be hectic, I suspect - I have three hour and a half lectures. Two of them are on generally the same topic, but the third is less so. Well, I may just do what I want to anyway, Michael seems pretty open to whatever. And I can make the studenst talk at me too, so, we'll see.

Poor Kathryn, I was so hyped after class, when I got her to show me around campus a bit, that I babbled at her quite a bit. Still stuck in lecture mode, I guess. we also ran into Lyndsay(Lyndsey? Lindsey?) on the way out, and she got caught up in it too. She told me about a fun game they play in the UNB honours history class, though. AFter class, everyone goes to the pub, and while there, everyone writes down a sentence on a piece of paper. It can't be obscene. They then all draw sentences, and the next week, they have to incorporate whatever said sentence was into their discussion if the readings. They aren't sure if the proff has caught on yet or not, but the tradition is apparently about three years old now.

So, anyway, I'm all buoyed by my success. it makes me annoyed that I wasn;t organized wnough to get in touch with any of my UNB proffs to come and sit in on any of my classes, because realy, tomorrow would be the best day. I'll e-mail them tonight, anyway.. You never know. I had been hoping to get to STU with enough time to go down and visit, but I wound up just using the time to review readings. Anyway, soon it will be Diablotin time, and hopefull I'll have calmed down a bit before then. Arrr!
