elanya at 06:10pm on 30/06/2003That describes my day. It was hot out, despite the raging thunderstorm this morning. In fact, it was hot and humid enough to be thundering again, and may well rain. This is fine with me, simnce I am going to be marching in two Canada Day parades... On in the AM in Stanley, and the other here in town in the afternoon.
Things I did oday included getting uniform bits for said parade, and then getting dropped off downtown. I had to buy Chinchilla food, so I stopped on the way at Jodie's, and dragged her out with me for company. We had ice cream, and then visited Shan. I bussed home, and have been slowly working on my CV since then. I need to add omy Co-op thing from High School, and then I need to stick in my references. I was hoping to have heard back from Dawn already, but no such luck. She probably doesn't check/answer her e-mail regularly, anyway. I don't *need* her, it would be nice if she got back to me in time to be put on the references list before I intend to hand it out on Wednesday. I am hoping Joel will be nice and take me around.
Hmmm, this is interesting. Elsa, apparently terrified of the thunder, has wedged herself between my chair and desk, squishing my feet out of the way. There is really not any room for her and, ahh, she squeezed back out and is now panting at my feet. Silly dog.
Tonight is Diablotin, sans Terry. Rob is now in Montreal visiting with Julie, so she gets to see the Boden Faces after all. Someday I will see them too, I hope :D I am kind of excited about tonight's game, since we hget to find out who the new emperor (much more likely imho to be an empress, really, since both the good candidates are women) is and so on. I wonder what *kind* of session it is going to be tonight too.. hmm hmm hmm. I also have to save Kalman from becming boring and useless. I'm paranoid tonight for no apparent reason. Arr! I *like* thunderstorms, yet I find myself all charged with nervous energy
After I am done my CV, I am gong to start working on stuff for my pirate show. really, the thought of prepaing a half hour of material is pretty daunting. Two hours... even more so. yick. At least it won't haev to be done *live*. And maybe if I get decent I can sell it (or at least send it) to other stations. arrr! Although i am happy with the idea of web broadcasts too. Must find songs...
