So, life as I know it has been prettty good, fairly interesting without being overwhelming.
I have now gone and seen all the people that I wanted to see, and done many of the errands that I'd intended to do. So now, what I need to do it hack out a new, from scratch, CV and resume. Bleah.
Some of the people I was visiting today were archaeology people, namely David Black and Susan Blair, who are both teaching intersession archaeology courses at UNB, which I think are through on Friday. They seem to be the only people in the department teaching in intersession. I think it is an archaeology thing, arr. So all is good there. They both complimented me on my thesis, which was nice, too. Susan and Pam Dickenson are heading up a consulting firm now, but they are expecting to have more work in the fall. I alsoheard that Jason Jardine (I think I have the name right?) has recently bought a magnetometer and is hoping to get peple to pay him to do Geophys. If he is looking for people to help with that, I may have an advantage, seeing as I actually know what one is and have used one before :D I just need to figure out how to contact him. Maybe I will drop into Arch Services. Susan's husband, Chris, is now working for Jacques-Whitford, too, so it was suggested I drop a CV off to him, which I will do as soon as I have one prepared.
I was put and about with Shan this afternoon as well. I took her out for lunch for her birthday (she is a cheap date though ;), and we wandered around downtown, and out to the loyalist burial ground and beyond (we actually went beyond first because we went to far and are apparently both blind. We missed the *huge* sign :p) Shan was trying to find some pigeons to feed her roll too, and had surprisingly little luck. We couldn't find pigeons in downtown Fredericton! Be amazed ;) We also stopped into the Sally Ann and looked at horrible clothing. Ahh, so much fun :D She is going out to Moncton (again!) with her mom tonight, so I came home to get some net things done before Hazel came home so she could't accuse me of *completely* monopolizing the computer. Which i am doing anyway, but I'll be off as soon as I am finished this. I also have all the necessary parts to put together an internet computer for my own use. I just need some assistance putting in the ethernet card, and to find some place to actually set it up! Whee!
Oh, and I also need a job, meh.
