I have the impression that some people are not satisfied for various reasons with the current locations... It is hard to bring in new characters to solidly established places, and some of the new places are either uneventful, generally, or exclusively eventful. This new place should give people a chance to make some pretty dynamic kinds of characters in a setting that hasn't been formalized yet. The setting itself is also fairly dynamic, so it will always be easy to introduce new characters, and have old ones move on to other things.
The other reason for this setting is to answer the question "Where do all those [Knights/Boggans/Whatevers] come from, anyway?"
So, anyway, I give you the Academia Edurus Vapulus. Which is really bad Greek/Latin for "School of Hard Knocks" ;) Yay for online dictionaries ^-^
The Academy was founded after the dreaming war by a member of House Gwydion. It was originally intended to be a kind of chivalric institute, to train Squires to be Knights (many were lost on both sides of the war, afterall). Since then, its purpose has expanded, though its main function is still to turn out new Knights for the various important freeholds. Most of the squires are, of course Sidhe, but commoners who exhibit exceptional promise or who are sponsored by a noble (not necessarily Sidhe, but must be at least a Baron(ess)) are also accepted.
One of the first groups to take advantage of the new Academy was the WSB. Yes, that's right, the World Society of Boggans. This tops secret information service has made the Academy its secret headquarters! It is very hush hush, of course, but it is still true! The WSB sort of casually instituted the semi-official vocational training programs that are now available at the academy. They work like this. The academy employs a small core staff for its household duties, kitchens, stables, etc. This core staff is responsible for maintaining the higest standards of service, and training the rest of the long-term temporary help (usually young fae) to provide the same. At the end of a term of employment, a fae who has served at the academy is considered to possess a valuable range of skills that would make them an asset to any freehold. The WSB uses these programs to place their new agents (who also receive more covert training, of course) wherver they may be needed...
These days, the Academy also has a program to take in and educate fledges in the changeling ways.
So, this gives a lot of potential for different character types! Knights in training, household people, random hangers on, and also teachers! I'm realy hoping I can convince someone to play a Leanhaun Mistress of Etiquette ;)
The school is kind of Unseelie in structure, but people from both courts can attend and teach there.
And speakign of structure... the school is located in Sunny (LOL) Manchester! Why manchester? Two reasons. First off, I wanted this to be in Hybernia, because it avoids the whole issue of the common laws. Manchester is a city that I am at least *vaguely* familiar with, too. By which I mean, I've driven by it a time or two, been to it's airport, and can find it on a map. ;) The second is that I have used Manchester before in the C-verse, so I have an idea what it is like, and what is going on there already. So, here is what I've got.
Looking at other WoD aspects of the C-verse, Manchester is a Brujah controlled city. The vampire prince has a fairly tight control over buisness and trade, and though there is a lot of gang activity, most of the rivalries aren't *really* serious. Different gangs control differnt parts of the city, and different parts of the economy, and most of the gangs are controlled by Vampires at one level or another.
The Brujah prince is aware of the school, and has been for a very long time. (I'd like to mention, for those of you who know anything about Vampires, that in the C-Verse, the plages caused a lot of wars, and some culling of the herd, so to speak, so the highest generation you are going to find out there these days is about an 11, and there are a lot fewer Vampires in general). The headmasters of the school know about the Prince, and how the city works, and there is some kind of cordial arrangement between these two groups. Basically, the school is counted as another 'gang'. They have their own 'Domain', and the prince makes sure that no Vamps fuck with them, or really know what is going on. The headmaster keeps his people out of trouble with the Vampires, and helps keep the masquerade, because really, it is just better not to mix ^-^. So generally, the fae and the vamps don't know about each other. However, as part of their training, the knightlings are sometimes sent out on 'practical' missions to mix it up with rival gangs... Like I said, it is kind of an Unseelie set up ;)
That's about it, anyways. But there is a lot of potential, don't you think? I don't even know who I want the headmaster to be... probably Gwydion still. I think that they would be pretty stuffy.formal, but have some people who deal more directly with the students (redcap weapons trainer?) who are less so. Like it should be, damnit ;D
Comments, anyone? Interested? Not? Questions?

In more proper Latin, it would be Schola Plagarum Asperarum :) Feel free to ignore me, of course.
Otherwise, it sounds cool. However, my question is, would you (or someone else, I suppose) be "in charge"? Because in my experience, the reason a lot of C-verse stuff is either boring or frustrating is due to the lack of a storyteller-figure - both someone who can throw in some action when it gets slow, and someone to whom questions/problems can be addressed when there is a dispute or confusion. So, I guess what I'm saying is, if you're willing to be the "in charge" person, then I'm all for it :)
Personally, I think it would be cool if we all took a setting and were the storyteller for that area. That way there would be less sitting around being bored and more entertainment - at least, that's what I think. But hey, what do I know?

(I'm mostly replying to this comment here so other people will see my answer, since we already discussed it in IRC. Arr!)
Two Words
I called it first.
