I've been doing some hard core geeking recently. I think Tuesday all I did all day was IC. Fun, though. And I mean, hey, no one else was home, I didnt' have to work, and I didn't have any other things that needed taking care of, so what's the harm , right? ^-^

I also finished FP Tuesday morning, finally. I really liked the book, it was quite awesome. The final pendulum scenes were right bizzare though.... I found the style of them, and I really mean, the things that happened in them, just seemed to be such a contrast to the way the rest of the book unfolded. It *was* absurd. And my my.... It was al so beautifully postmodern. I mean, really. "I understood it this evening: the author has to die in order for the reader to become aware of his truth." It's like being hit over the head with a stick! But I like the stick, and I know that really, most people probably wouldn't see it that way, not being familiar with Barthes, but still. I giggled a lot when I read that. A *lot*.

So, the next thing I started reading was Tai Pan by James Clavell. I'm not far into it at all. I'm not sure if the written out dialects are going to do it for me, though. We'll see, I guess....

Yesterday was also my last dance class, sadness... I really liek Dharlene as an instructor. The choreography we were learning is not too bad, either, and I found that the way she teaches things (moves first, then into the choreography) makes so much more sense then the other way around.... I mean, I likes Konnie's classes in England, but I'm sure that for people who didn't know any dance steps, it could have been pretty intimidating. Of course, her classes were also *huge*, which also affected things.

Anyway, on Sunday, it is out student Dance party, for all her various classes. We get to perform our choreography, and see other persform it, and stuff. I'm bringing Joel, I think :) And then I'm going to be in the intermediate class, which starts up in about two weeks, and is on Thursdays. There is another one on Mondays but a: it would be more expensive, and b: Diablotin. There is actaully a concert band that I would join first if I had Mondays free, anyway. Why are Mondays so popular, anyway? :o

In other news, there is a guy coming from Azerbaijan to do some workshops on Azerbaijani dance and Sifi dance/ritual stuff. The only one I can make it to is the Sufi ritual one, though, for shame. I need more white clothing though. A nice, long, white skirt for spinning.... too bad I have no fabric :/

You didn't tell me about Sufi dance! Damn you! Damn your hide! You do realize that one of my interests in Islamic mysticism? I only sleep in the same bed as you...well except when you punch me in the head while you "sleep". Damn you!

Well, my love, if you want to come to the workshop too, you can. It costs 30$, and you need to wear all white clothing.
