And I haven't been to the beach here yet. There is a nice little beach town about half an hour out of town, but we don't have a car, so we have to be a little organized to make it down there, especially with kids, etc. The kids went this summer I think while I was away house sitting and their grandmother was in town, but I think there was some kind of water quality issue and they couldn't actually swim? I did go down there for valentine's day this year, to a little B&B, but it was super stormy and we didn't really go out much >.> I think thee is a big park/nature preserve to the north of town as well that has a lake, but possibly is not of of the "Great" ones (but still pretty great?). But on the whole I haven't been able to take much advantage :(
Unrelated to your comment but I just learned that the pub I mentioned *is* opening soon and I'm super excited :D
