I'm all caught up on everything that has been released so far, and I have to say that there are *so many many* things that I am loving about this season. The characters and their relationships all seem a lot more mature, and I'm also very curious about this season's 'big bad' so to speak, as well as having to deal with the fallout(!!!!) from the end of Season 2. And that's all I'm saying outside of a cut!
Zahir and co are all very interesting, and I really want to know what their motivation is. This seems to me to be a pretty big switch from earlier seasons where we have been able to see motivations pretty clearly, though I could be misremembering. naryrising, and she suggested something really interesting in regards to how Zahir found out where Korra was at the end of the last episode, when he was meditating. And it is SO COOL that really it is the reason I am making this Korra-related update :p Previously to him declaring that he knows where she is, we are told that she just called over the radio to report in. So - is it possible that he is able to use air bending to hear radio waves? I think it should be possible. I think it would be awesome, in case you can't tell! SO AWESOME! We don't have a lightning/metal/blood for airbending yet, and I think it is only fair that they get something :V The introduction of radio makes it perfect ^-^
Other things - I *love* how Opal deals with Bolin. They're adorable and she stops him from being ridiculous. I love where the girls are with Mako and, more than that, how they are with each other. I can't imagine will will get canon Korasami, but we *are* getting close friendship, and I will take it. They are great support for each other.
I love how everyone keeps having to tell Tenzin that being an air bender doesn't mean being an air nomad, and that though the people with him now are basically there by choice, they still need time to adapt. Pemma you are the beeeest ^-^
Also, Kai really *really* *REALLY* reminds me of the first avatar. And he and and Jinora are also adorable.
