Summer fun Cthullu could be coming soon to a beach near you! :D
Yes, Joel got me a Cthullu plushy for VD. Nothing says love like an Elder God!
He didn't actually get me Summer-Fun Cthullu yet, though. The store was supposed to hold it for him, but some dork-twat sold it. So he got me a mini one while they order it for him. Then I'll have two :D Yay!
We went to see Metropolis, restored as close as possible to its original 1927 form. I guess a lot of the original film has been lost. It was pretty cool for what it was. Evil Maria reminded me of Madeline, especially Macbeath-with Madeline, with her lusty looks, facial expression and crazy gesticulating. After that, we got some Chinese take-out and came home. The food is great, and they have General Tso's Chicken (Not quite as good as the Montrèal stuff, but good. I think the reason it is so rare is that it is a Szechaun dish, and most standard Chinese places aren't.) Anyway, yum!
Then we watched Léon. Ahh, Natalie Portman. She can act, damnit! What the hell happened in Star Wars! I also found out from the cast bios that she is actually originally from Israel. So keen for her, I guess :o She also speaks fluent Japanese and Hebrew. But that is a very good, if creepy-at-times movie. Mathilda is such a little Lolita-nymphette :o
And tafter that, there was... other stuff. ;p
Now, I eat leftovers and am going to kill this computer, hopefully fixing all its little issues. aharr!
