Well, the comic would make a decent movie, although they'd have to tone the blood back for the movie (you heard me). I stand by my conviction that Wanted could only make a good movie (which it is) if they heavily modified the story from the comic (which they did, and also the film had excellent direction, editing and soundtrack). Kick-Ass has a leg up in that you could basically just film it frame by frame. Otherwise they're fairly similar in themes; not surprisingly, as they're both written by the same guy.
The Kick-Ass trailer seemed to indicate they were going for a lighter and somewhat more comedic feel than the comic, which is interesting. That could be done, but only for about the first half of the story. It gets exceedingly grim and gruesome after that, so... I will interested to see if they change the story.
