But who *would* win in a giant steel cage match?

Oh fandom, you so wacky!

Some tough choices there, but I agree with [livejournal.com profile] earis: Granny FTW!

This is why the whole 'steel cage' thing pisses me off. People treat it as a popularity contest, but really it's about who would win in a steel cage.

Wonder Woman beats everyone. Or maybe Scully does.

Agreed but with that being the case, how does Granny beat River then? Outside of a cage I'd back Granny every time, but in close quarters Granny wouldn't have nearly enough time to get going before River has crossed the canvas and sliced her apart.

Same thing goes for Molly and Wonder Woman, it would be a tighter contest if the arena were larger and Molly could get a few spells off (and apparate) but in a cage, Molly would barely have got a syllable out before Diana has piledriven her into the mat.

I think anyone who is a little psychic would cover in fear at the things that go on in Granny's head. If you're using the 'last appearance' criteria, then River is also less batshit insane which is probably not to her advantage :V

My theory on how Diana vs molly is plausible is just that WW wouldn't want to beat up someone's mom.

Yeah, I figured that Granny Weatherwax would borrow River's mind and try to help her, thus making her the winner.

Plus, she's faced down a lot of scary things before, I don't see her easily falling just because River outmatches her physically.
