meme

Comment to this post, and I list five things I associate with you. They might make sense or they might be totally random — then post that list, with your commentary, to your lj (or just add a reply back at me). I and other people get our lists from you, and the meme merrily perpetuates itself.

Do-It-Yourself - I think of DIY more in terms of things like.... fixing things around the house. Which I'd like to do but don't really have time/knowledge of. But in terms of being crafty, maybe? I like to sew, and make things.... like steampunk things that I half finish or mail all off to my sister :x i did paint my apartment though! Maybe if I ever get my curtains hung i can have some real DIY cred ^-^

Writing - This one is more obvious! I like to write, and have had some small measure of "professional" success at it. I think anyone who knows me shoudl have fgured out this by now :D I haven't been doing much of it lately, but there are still ideas in my head, even if they don't quite get to make it to paper -_-

Plastic Weaponry - This is all down to last Hallowe'en. Ahh, it is impressive what a little bit of red paint will do for a cheesy four foot plastic sword... :D Alas, we managed to break it in a duel. Not quality construction, alas! But still fun :)

Foodsperiments - Yay baking! I do like to bake, and try new things, and try combining new things... Mostly I've been successful, though my recent steak pie attempt was sort of mediocre, because I didn't use they right steak/didn't cook the steak I had right.

Cuddles! - Okay, now I am pretty sure that Claire has confused me with Jola. Jola is very cuddly. At least, always willing to submit to the cuddles! I give her plenty, because she would be lost without them ^-^

(New chapter up, btw! XD)

Hrm.

Transformers: I used to watch the G1 cartoon as a kid, until it stopped airing. I'd peek at the cartoons coming out and get lost, so I never really got back into it big time (except for a hardcore watching stint for Beast Wars/Beast Machines) until the 2007 movie came out. Oh, did that movie turn me right back into the five year old at heart I really am! XD I never thought a TF fic would end up being my most prolific piece of fan writing, but there you go. ^^

Fanfic: It's always been an "easy" way to write, I guess. Already established worlds with less developed characters offer an easy playground, as it were. And I truly love taking the lesser fleshed out concepts and working them out to something fun or unexpected!

Game Industry: Not anything I planned to go into (I was going into web design!) until I randomly applied at Ubisoft when they arrived in town, right after wrapping up my second B.A. I got the call to go in for an interview while on the show grounds in Bromont, no less - it was an interesting rush home to shower and retrieve my portfolio, let me tell you! XD I left it for a while, after typical Ubi burnout, but a friend scouted me for a spot at a smaller company and I haven't left the industry since.

Icons: Shiny! No, really. Best way to have what you want is to do it yourself, right? And icons, I think I can do. =) I like having a thematic to them or a look that makes it easy for people to spot which posts are mine on their f-list, without even having to read a thing. Colors and pictures is something most people spot very easily, after all.

Montreal: Home, sweet home. I bitch about the cold a lot in the winter, and the heat in the summer, but I still love my home town - Fall and Spring (unsurprisingly) are my favorite seasons. I don't quite know how I'd handle it or what I'd do, if we got an offer to work in the States or overseas...
